Nike, sponsors desert NFL superstar after alleged sexual assault victims speak out – Fox Sports

A number of big-name sponsors have walked away from NFL star Deshaun Watson in the wake of 22 civil lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct or sexual assault.

Nike said in a statement it was deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations and would continue to closely monitor the situation, while announcing it was uspending, and not minating, their long-standing relationship with the player.
Meanwhile headphones company Beats by Dre, owned by Apple, ended its own relationship with the star. Both Nike and Beats had inked sponsorship deals with the talent before the 2017 NFL Draft, when Watson was one of the competitions most highly-touted prospects. Another…
